About the Temple

One of the richest and most visited temples in the world, located on the seventh peak of Tirumala hills (Venkatadri). The temple is an architectural marvel in Dravidian style. Millions of pilgrims visit annually to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, the Kali Yuga Pratyaksha Daivam.

History: The temple's origins date back to the beginning of Kali Yuga. According to legend, Lord Vishnu took the form of Venkateswara to save humanity from the trials of Kali Yuga. The temple has been patronized by many dynasties including the Pallavas, Cholas, and Vijayanagara empire.
