About the Temple
Perched on a hillock in Yadadri, this is one of the most important Narasimha temples in South India and the second most visited temple in Telangana. The temple has a stunning new gopuram built by the state government.
History: The temple's origin is associated with the sage Yada Maharshi. According to legend, Lord Narasimha appeared here in five forms (Jwala Narasimha, Yogananda Narasimha, Gandabherunda Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha, and Lakshmi Narasimha).
Significance: The temple is one of the 9 Narasimha Kshetras and is believed to be very powerful for removing obstacles and granting wishes. The recent renovation has made it one of the most beautiful temple complexes in India.
