Mandala 9 - Soma Pavamana

Mandala 9 contains 114 hymns, all exclusively dedicated to Soma Pavamana — the purified, flowing Soma juice. This is the only Mandala devoted to a single deity. The hymns describe the pressing, purification, and offering of Soma, the sacred ritual drink that was central to Vedic sacrifice. The Soma Pavamana hymns are sung during the Soma sacrifice and are known for their lyrical beauty and ritual precision.
