The fortieth and final Adhyaya of the Yajur Veda is the Isha Upanishad, one of the principal Upanishads. This profound text teaches that the entire universe is pervaded by the Lord (Isha), and that one should enjoy life through renunciation. The famous mantras of this Upanishad express the identity of the individual self and the universal Self, the path of karma yoga, and the vision of seeing all beings in the Self. This chapter concludes the Yajur Veda with the highest spiritual teachings.
