Adhyaya 12 - Ukthya, Shodashin and Atiratra

This Adhyaya describes three additional Soma sacrifices: the Ukthya (involving the Uktha chants), the Shodashin (with sixteen Stotras), and the Atiratra (the overnight Soma sacrifice). These progressively elaborate forms of the Soma ritual demonstrate the increasing complexity of Vedic sacrifice.
