आनन्दो ब्रह्मेति व्यजानात् | आनन्दाद्ध्येव खल्विमानि भूतानि जायन्ते |
आनन्देन जातानि जीवन्ति | आनन्दं प्रयन्त्यभिसंविशन्तीति ||३.६.१||
He knew: Bliss is Brahman. For from bliss alone are all these beings born; by bliss they live once born; into bliss they return at death.

अन्नं न निन्द्यात् | तद्व्रतम् | प्राणो वा अन्नम् | शरीरमन्नादम् | प्राणे शरीरं प्रतिष्ठितम् | शरीरे प्राणः प्रतिष्ठितः ||३.७.१||
One should not despise food — that is the vow. Prana is indeed food; the body is the eater of food. The body is established in prana; prana is established in the body.

I am food! I am food! I am food! I am the eater of food! I am the eater of food! I am the eater of food! I am the maker of glory!

अहमन्नमहमन्नादोऽहमश्लोककृत् | अहमस्मि प्रथमजा ऋतस्य | पूर्वं देवेभ्योऽमृतस्य नाभाय | यो मा ददाति स इदेव मावाः ||३.१०.५||
I am food! I am the eater of food! I am the first-born of truth, before the gods, in the navel of immortality. One who gives me — he alone saves me.

सोऽहमन्नमन्नमदन्तमद्मि | अहं विश्वं भुवनमभ्यभवाम् | सुवर्ण ज्योतीः | य एवं वेद ||३.१०.६||
I eat the one who eats food! I have overcome the whole world! I am the golden light! One who knows thus.
