Mandala 7 - Vasishtha (Includes Shri Sukta)

Mandala 7 contains 104 hymns attributed to the seer Vasishtha and his family. This Mandala is particularly famous for the Shri Sukta (7.72-74), a hymn dedicated to the goddess Shri (Lakshmi) that is widely recited in Hindu worship. The hymns are addressed to Agni, Indra, Varuna, the Maruts, and the Ashvins. The Vasishtha hymns are known for their profound philosophical content and literary excellence, including the Pavamana hymns dedicated to Soma.
